In 2001, Ford Motor Company obtained some stock of Turkish company Otosan to become Ford partner, renaming branch to Ford Otosan. The branch produces Ford Transit, Transit Connect, and Ford Cargo under the original name.
In 2003, Ford Cargo updated and it was already the second series of Ford Cargo.
In 2005, Ford moved to the development of the third generation of Ford Cargo, with new cabins, chassis and a wide range of engines with Ecotorq standard Euro-3, capacity of 240-300 HP with ZF 9S75 9-speed, ZF 9S109 9-speed and ZF 16S109 16-speed gearboxes.
Today the family of Ford Cargo offers a wide range of vehicles with load capacity from 12000 kg to 33000 kg consisting of: tractors, dump chassis, truck chassis, transporter chassis.
